ATS is meh, but it's still great for candidate sourcing
Pros
Finding and starting a conversation with a candidate is very low friction compared to Linkedin
Cons
The applicant tracking system itself is very limited and doesn't support many integrations. We used the applicant sourcing, but managed the workflow elsewhere.

A Seamless Experience for Job Seekers and Startups
My overall experience with Wellfound has been positive. It’s a great platform for connecting with innovative startups and finding roles that match my skills and interests. The process of applying for jobs is seamless, and the platform’s tools, such as the resume builder and salary insights, are incredibly helpful. I’d recommend Wellfound to anyone in the startup space or those seeking a more entrepreneurial career path.
Pros
What I liked most about Wellfound is how user-friendly and intuitive the platform is. The site provides excellent resources for both job seekers and startups, making it easy to navigate opportunities, connect with potential employers, and learn more about companies.
Cons
On the job seeker side, one downside is that certain job postings can be overly broad, making it hard to know exactly what a company is looking for. Additionally, some listings remain up even when the position is filled, which can be misleading.
Reasons for Switching to Wellfound
They are more popular or more mainstream and have more jobs and candidates.- Industry: Oil & Energy

Good resource for startup job searching
Wellfound has been a great resource for finding startups building interesting things and a good way to keep track of who is hiring.
Pros
Many startups post jobs on Wellfound, and I like that you can filter jobs pretty easily. It's also nice that most of the applications are simplified.
Cons
The filters could be a bit more robust in terms of separating between required and preferred qualifications as well as seniority levels. Also, it is annoying that many companies don't respond, leaving applications to expire.

Great for company profile building, maybe not recruiting
AngelList is still outstanding for building and maintaining a public company profile. Use it for that rather than recruiting.
Pros
The AngelList community is generally the right group to engage with as a startup. It also has a distinct character as a piece of software, but that carries drawbacks as well.
Cons
The website just is not intuitive as a user. UX needs a serious boost. On top of that, the applicants we got for our job posting just were not high quality.

Wellfound Review
I've used Wellfound both as a candidate and as a recruiter, and I've been impressed both times. As a recruiter, I appreciate how well it helps me attract applicants, which is great since I manage high-volume hiring. The platform is also easy to navigate, and I can pay for promotions without needing to contact customer service.
Pros
I love how user-friendly Wellfound is. It’s affordable but just as effective as pricier alternatives, and I was able to attract a solid number of applicants for my open positions.
Cons
I think they could expand their job categories, especially for non-tech roles, which is what I mainly use them for.

Definitely worth a try!
My overall experience with wellfoud has been decent. I haven’t been able to hire from the application but I have been able to post job ads for visibility.
Pros
I like that there are a wide range of candidates to choose from. People from all different professions.
Cons
Some of the candidates aren’t as responsive as they would be on indeed, linked-in or another popular job site.
Reasons for Switching to Wellfound
I use all these applications, it doesn’t make sense to only have one job board application. Wellfound is a bit more expensive and lacks the candidate pool to use solely by itself.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

Great platform!
I am getting responses, understanding the tech market and startups in the business.
Pros
User Interface, User Experience, recruiter status and, link to the company's website.`
Cons
There is no calendar integration when setting up a call with a recruiter. I wish we could see this in the personal messages with the recruiter.

A review of my experience on Wellfound
Overall experience has been good, they need a few changes but atm they are better than most platforms.
Pros
Easy to find early-stage startups.
No. of applicants is way lesser than LinkedIn
Cons
Some jobs show salary but if you go and look in the job description. They say it is commission-based/equity-based/unpaid. That is not fair on the candidate's side.

A good business platform but a bit risky
My experience wasn't satisfied with this platform because at the beginning I made a few mistakes that dropped me to gain maximum profits. Then I realised it is not suitable for me!
Pros
Everything is ok, I like how this whole system works and manage the businesses. Investing in the right business will generate good enough profits no doubt. But have to be careful and you need a huge knowledge about trade and marketing.
Cons
AngelList is not properly ready to become a market leader. The investor is at risk because the failure rate is high on AngelList.

Good media for job search and need some information.
Is this candidate should apply always ?
As candidate already posted their resume, will not recruiter reach out to them directly ?
I need info regarding the best way to get connected with a recruiter ASAP.
Pros
Related information about job posting like recruiter active, etc.
Cons
After applying not getting quick response if my resume is not getting selected, it's better to know quickly that the company is not considering me.

Efficient and User-Friendly, with Room for Improvement
My overall experience with Wellfound was positive. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, which made finding relevant information straightforward. While there were some limitations, such as the customization of search results, the user experience and functionality generally met my needs effectively.
Pros
I liked the user-friendly interface and the comprehensive search filters. They made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for and navigate the platform efficiently.
Cons
What I liked least about Wellfound was the limited customization options for search results. It sometimes made it challenging to refine searches as precisely as I wanted.
Reasons for Switching to Wellfound
I chose Wellfound over Gohire, Apploi, Upwork, and LinkedIn Business because of its intuitive interface and comprehensive search capabilities. It offered a more streamlined and user-friendly experience compared to the alternatives, which made it easier for me to find and connect with the right opportunities efficiently.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

A great job portal for exposure of companies and applicants
It has been a great experience overall. I've had more contact with potential employers through this site, compared to several other sites I've used. And it is cool to be able to find up and coming companies with unique missions in one place.
Pros
I loved the variety of opportunities found on the site, ranging in levels of experience desired as well as responsibilities.
Cons
My application was once withdrawn by Wellfound because the employer wasn't looking at the applications. It felt wrong to me, who had put in so much for the application, to know that the employer wouldn't have the chance to see it. I think it makes sense to incentive them to be active but it felt like I, the applicant was the one affected more.

Great product for startup job seekers!
Overall, Wellfound is a great tool that can help prospective job applicants find out more about the company they are interested in. I loved the holistic view wellfound offers to candidates
Pros
As someone who once had their own startup, I enjoyed being able to really filter down to companies that matched the criteria of what I was looking for. I liked the ability to click into a company, see all positions available, see founding team, key metrics about the company and get a feel for what they are looking for. Love the ability to see investors who invested in the company as well as their ratings.
Cons
It is sometimes hard to know if the posts are really active or not, i wish there was a better way to see if my background is what the team is looking for.

Pros

Found all my jobs through Wellfound!
I found all my jobs through Wellfound so I would definitely say the success rate is high!
Pros
It's easy to use and not crowded like other job portals.
Cons
I like Wellfound because founders and C-suite level teams are active on this platform, they are genuinely looking for folks to join their team. I'm able to see the team's growth and funding rounds, helping me understand the company's vision for the future-- this allows me to see if I'm a fit for the team or not!

Good platform for seed-stage startups looking to hire
We've used Wellfound to hire our engineering team. We've hired three developers from the site. We've also used their promoted jobs with some decent success.
Pros
The network- it is a great place to go to find people who have the correct expectations of what it is like to work at startup. Additionally, the platform does a decent job of filtering out applicants that don't meet minimum requirements.
Cons
Their in-house ATS, Track, leaves a bit to be desired on the scheduling front.

Best for startup roles and startup companies
It's been great. I found my current role here and grew a best-in-class team here as well
Pros

Cons
None. I got what I needed out of the free version. The paid version is great when I need to hire multiple people.

Overall experience is a good one. Though I haven't had any luck landing a job on the site, I will continue to use it.
Pros
I like how simple and efficient the platform is to use. It's easy to navigate and find what I'm looking for.
Cons
I do not like the lack of entry level job available that are truly entry level. many I've found that say entry level actually require 2-3yrs of experience. I think that could be looked at.
