Pandora's Pantry Star-Plus Review
This was our first foray into a POS system and it was a huge learning curve. Without having a project manager with a solid understanding in accounting principles, it was a bit tricky getting some of our processes integrated. Overall, the experience has been a great learning challenge!! I think that because some functions can be performed in a few different fields, but the information does not necessarily wind up in product manger, this took us a bit of time to figure out and fix.
Pros
Integration within our own processes was not easy, I think that Star-Plus new users would benefit from a more thorough training process prior to going "live". Also, a must would be to have an internal project manager with a solid background in digital inventory management. The Auto-Star team were and have been wonderful to deal with, can't say enough good about them!!!
Cons
I think that we thought it would be time saving in a different way. It definitely has helped with our inventory management, pricing/margin strategy processes. It has simplified our year end processes. Our day to day operations have also become much smoother. One piece that is missing is full integration with accounting software. That would truly be a time saver. We currently need to maintain two systems.

Autostar review
Starplus is quite easy to learn, especially for cashiers which is important for a retail environment. The technical support staff are excellent! Very knowledgable and friendly!
Pros
The till program is great. The software is easy to use and tech support provides excellent customer service.
Cons
The backend/inventory processes. They are not very robust.

Star-Plus Review
I love being able to call customer service when anything is happening with Auto Star on my end. They are able to access Net Help and fix my problem for me over the phone efficiently! Overall, I would highly recommend this soft ware to any retail business.
Pros
I love keeping track of my inventory using this software and also for making sales. I would be lost if I didn't have Auto Star. When we got a new computer it was easy to install into our new system.
Cons
I feel like Auto Star has enough features for running my business. I wouldn't change anything about it.

Great People
Overall it works great.
Pros
What I like the most is being able to contact someone when I need help. Very helpful people.
Cons
In program manager, when left unattended for a period of time the active field does not revert back to the Bar Code field. It stays wherever it is unless you save it. Causes problems when you come up to a computer and assume the active field is the Bar code.
