Invaluable and comprehensive product
Excellent. Couldn't work without it. Allows payroll processing and calculation of NI and tax to be seamless
Pros
Intuitive, comprehensive system that integrates well with HMRC and pension providers

Sometimes not easy to make adjustments after a payrun. This might be if a mistake needs correcting

EASY TO USE BUT LACKS FUNTIONALITY OF DESKTOP VERSION
VERY QUICK AND EAY TO USE BUT LACKS THE FUNCTIONALLITY OF THE DESKTOP VERSION OF SAGE PAYROLL
Pros
QUICK AND EASY TO PROCESS THE PAYROLL EACH WEEK OR MONTH
Cons
NOT ABLE TO PRODUCE HISTORICAL REPORTS SUMMERISING THE PAYROLL FIGURES IN ORDER TO PREPARE ANNUAL ACCOUNTS. FPS IS SUBMITTED BEFORE P45 CAN BE PRINTED SO LEAVERS HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED WITH RTI REPORT FOR THE NEXT PERIOD. NO LINK TO HMRC WEBSITE TO AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE TAX CODE CHANGES FOR EMPLOYEES

Decent software, bit outdated
Each time I ran payroll it seemed it took me ages to do so, not the payroll itself but getting the reports out to link them with other financial software.
Pros
You could bespoke a lot of features within Sage Payroll.
Cons
Overly detailed, outdated look, quite clunky.

Sage Payroll
Great system to use but the support aspect in SA is lacking management and we have to make use of a third party to assist with issues which costs us more money.
Pros
Reporting is great
Main menu with employee details is super helpful
Cons
The support in SA is lacking. The Consultants are not able to assist with queries or does not come back to one.

Reliable, affordable, professional payroll solutions.
Pros
Sage is easy to use and certainly a market-leader for business owners. The ability to quickly and accurately process payroll and provide a self-service function to employees is essential. As is compliance with HMRC. Sage cover all of the basics with a smart UI.
Cons
More could be done to support customers when first signing up, as payroll can be a daunting process at first - that being said, there are articles online to help - although maybe more video content and less jargon would be best suited.
Moreover, perhaps Sage should consider better discounts/offers/promotions/recognition of long-term users.
