About FieldInsight

FieldInsight is a cloud-based job scheduling solution designed for small and midsize electricians, plumbers and HVAC trade service professionals. It features job scheduling and management, mapping and navigation and customer management and communication within a suite. FieldInsight enables technicians to see exact locations and driving distances of their day-to-day jobs on a single map. When scheduling a new job, the address is verified and pinpointed on Google Maps once entered into the system. The mapping feature can also work as a navigational tool in the field when supported by a smartphone. Mobile phone access also allows technicians to communicate with customers by using one-touch SMS messages to notify customers of updated ETA or other changes. FieldInsight enables technicians to pull up customer contact information from the schedule. Once the contact info is found, pre-written messages can be customized, finalized and sent to the customers.

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable

Pros

easy layout and customizeable, friendly staff and they don't leave you hanging when asked a question the price doesn't break the bank and they are growing with technology they are constantly make improvement to their products.

Cons

They are in another country so the time frame is off but that is not a deal breaker because they have a chat bubble

My Customers LOVE FieldInsight

We were trying to get a handle of our maintenance contracts and deliver a professional service to our clients. FieldInsight has helped us do exactly that. Our customers LOVE FieldInsight. Our contracts are running smoothly and we are on top of everything.

Pros

Asset Management and Preventive Maintenance. FieldInsight makes it so easy to manage our contracts and assets. We know exactly where we are at and what is left to be done

Cons

The set up time and effort seemed immense but the staff were always there for us. Now that we are set up I can see exactly why we needed to be set up correctly and why it took the extra time.

Reasons for Switching to FieldInsight

Ease of use, FieldInsight did much more that the other products, but somehow it is easier to use. Professional staff they really took the time to get to know us and have always been there for us.

The flexibility without the expense

Overall fieldinsight have always offered the ultimate flexibility and what I love with them is that they can develop and customise the system, I trialled many other systems, they were either limited in what i could change or way too expensive or too complicated.

Pros

The flexibility of the program - when we hit a roadblock fieldinsight team are great at offering a work around or adding as a new implement, offering customisation on a great monthly plan
Customer service is awesome
asset management

Cons

Only minor things, such as the consistency of where buttons are located or job search function for ongoing jobs/adding a job number to timesheets on mobile versions. Scheduler view is pretty easy and more versatile. Would love if the inventory system could be a bit more sophisticated with incoming and outgoing.

I know it is the best priced and most configurable software of its type in the market.

Excellent Australian made and supported software! Support Australia and get yourself an excellent asset management software.

Pros

Is overall features but also its configurability

Cons

Not enough people benefitting from its use!

Field Insight from Scratch

Pros

The ability to customize everything to our industry.

Cons

Working with so many aspects of a business and trying to implement the system was slightly complicated because everything could be so customised.
The Xero integration not having two-way payment integrations was also a bit of a downer.

Our flexibility and customisations are a blessing as it allows us to cater to many workflows/industries; we have now implemented more structure to our implementation approach to ensure complexity is managed better.
And I am happy to report we now have a 2-way payment integration to Xero - we try and meet as many needs as possible and happy to take on new requests or customisations that fit our feature roadmap.
