About RSA SecurID

RSA SecurID Suite is an identity and access rights management solution that helps businesses of all sizes manage access rights for contractors, customers, employees and partners across cloud and on-premise systems, data and applications. RSA SecurID Suite enables administrators to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) utilizing multiple methodologies, including biometric fingerprints, SMS tokens, one-time passwords (OTPs) and push notifications. Supervisors can implement security and compliance controls and set up risk-priority based access certifications. Additionally, with the authentication manager tool, staff members can verify user identities, change PIN codes, request replacement tokens, troubleshoot issues and more. RSA SecurID Suite comes with an application programming interface (API), which allows businesses to integrate the platform with several third-party solutions. It offers Android and iOS mobile applications, which allows employees to gain access remotely. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via live chat, documentation, community forum, FAQs, phone, email and other measures.

Just Works

Use it most days to access secure servers and works great for me. RSA is really a standard for security and works across all platforms that I use.

Pros

Not a whole lot to do as a user all the magic is in the backend which makes it very friendly. Access is secure and the ability to access work environment on the go is mission critical for a lot of people and this gets you in.

Cons

Not a whole lot of cons here installations can be tricky and if forced to do manual setup of servers etc can be daunting for some but if IT does it right then it is a breeze.

Safe and Secure, but Adds an extra step

Definitely adds an extra layer of security, which is of utmost importance in our times.

Pros

It's easy to use, the token is always right in front of me. Small size so it doesn't take up a lot of space for storage. Easily fits on a lanyard.

Cons

It adds an extra step to sign on to many platforms. If I forget the token at work, I can't log in remotely to emails, etc. My organization only supports the option to have a physical token, rather than a "soft token" such as on a smart phone.

Great VPN

Great software for VPN but may have compatibility issues with Palo Alto Network's Globalprotect

Pros

Easy to install and configure and provides secure VPN options for Cisco VPN. It is user friendly and can change passcodes frequently without issues

Cons

does not work well with Palo Alto Network's Globalprotect. It is sometimes hard to refresh and get new passcodes.

Secure your network access

Pros

we can easily understand and implement the configuration for access management to our network and integrate it with our AD for user management and we can use both software and hardware key generators for easy access.

Cons

initially, it required a little digging to achieve what we wanted, but after that everything was fine.
