Great and robust operating system, both for work and for fun. Supported by a strong community
My first contact with Linux was around the year 2000 with a different distribution, at that time there was no Ubuntu. I started using it since mid-2008. Since then I have used other distributions, but for security and guarantee that I won't stop for a few days due to lack of update or a bad update I always return to it. I use it in my daily life, both for work and for entertainment.
Pros
Ubuntu has several programs that end up making my life a lot easier as a software developer, even languages established for using other operating systems, such as C#, are now easily accessible, which makes it very easy to change projects.
I love free and open systems and, despite Ubuntu not being the system most aligned with this philosophy, it brings several facilities that end up compensating for its use.
Cons
Even today, despite being incredibly simpler to use, we ended up having to understand a little more about the environment to keep it 100% operational and constantly updated. That's what made me point out that its cost is not so cheap because it takes a little time during the month to keep it. But this is common for any operational system.
Reasons for Choosing Ubuntu
Originally for being free, later for being the best option for my business area, currently for being the safest and easiest option to useReasons for Switching to Ubuntu

Ubuntu, the best OS
Ubuntu is a computer operating system primarily used for coding and web development. I personally use Ubuntu for WordPress web development. I also use it to shop online.
Pros
I use Ubuntu on a daily basis. The main reason for this is that Ubuntu is much faster than Windows. I typically work on WordPress, and I've tried it on both Windows and Ubuntu, and I've found that working on Ubuntu is much faster and more efficient. Also, I use Ubuntu when I want to shop online or make a credit card purchase for one reason: Ubuntu is very secure, so you won't have to worry about being hacked or having someone steal your credentials. Furthermore, Ubuntu is a free and open-source operating system.
Cons
There are a few disadvantages to using Ubuntu that I find extremely disappointing. Because many of the applications on which I rely do not work on Ubuntu, I am unable to fully transition from Windows to Ubuntu. The second annoyance is that the wifi driver stops working when I shut down my PC from Windows and then restart it and log in to Ubuntu. I tried numerous times to solve this problem, but I was unable to find a solution.

Ubuntu - a solid distro
I've been using the Mate version of Ubuntu as my primary desktop for years and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I don't prefer it to Windows or Mac because it's free, I prefer it because the user experience is so much better.
Pros
Ubuntu has just about every application I use in it's repo... and I use a LOT of applications from music arranging, 3-D modeling and printing, software development, and more. The few applications I needed that were not in the repo were easily to find and install via PPA. Ubuntu has an active support community for every level of user. Distro version upgrades are smooth and effortless.
Cons
Nothing is wrong with snaps, but I don't why why Ubuntu should "muddy the waters" by having 2 different kinds of applications managers: both apt-get (or apt) and snap. I'd like to see the distro stick to apt.

The nascent challenger to topple Red Hat
Ubuntu has come a long way over the years. If you look at Linux distribution market shares over the years, you'll see the Red Hat family losing market share to the Debian family - chiefly Ubuntu. When you consider Red Hat's embarrassing missteps with killing CentOS Linux and turning AWX (the open source Ansible Tower upstream) into a Kubernetes-only project, it's not surprising that Ubuntu has risen.
Ubuntu is where the industry is heading.
Pros
Ubuntu now uses the GNOME desktop environment, which is modern and highly effective if you're a keyboard guru like me. Its "Snap" format of distribution-agnostic packages makes it easy to get more up-to-date versions of common software. There's a lot of community support for Ubuntu.
Cons
Ubuntu's "Snap" packages automatically update, and you can't turn this off. That's fine for desktop software but a disaster for server software. Canonical, which commercially sponsors Ubuntu, still doesn't have professional training similar to the RHCSA/RHCE.

Become Comfortable With Ubuntu Environment
My overall experience with Ubuntu is good, through this we can learn the backend of configurations i.e. how manually configurations are done, and how to handle them manually if the software crashes.
Pros
1. Ubuntu is a very light OS, any Pc with less configuration will support Ubuntu
2. It is very helpful for organization-level work i.e. it has preinstalled software which is required in organizations like schools, colleges, etc.
3. You can customize it with your requirements which is amazing, you can customize your file icons, change how will your system look, and many others.
4. The most important feature of this platform is that it is a secure environment
Cons
1. It doesn't support headphones and microphones at a single time, only one of them can be used at a time.
2. It mainly has CLI and that's why some people face issues in using it when switching from Windows.
3. There is a brightness issue in Ubuntu Linux 20.10 version.

A nice introduction to linux
Pros
Ubuntu provides an easy to use Linux kernel that makes transitioning from other mainstream operating systems like Windows or MacOS relatively straightforward. I like the simple user interface, addition of simple features found in other OS's, and the ability to develop software in a Linux environment.
Cons
While this is no direct fault of Ubuntu, I wish there were more supported software for the platform. Software commonly found on other OS's are not supported on Ubuntu. Examples include the Microsoft Office Suite and many video games.

Great Linux distro with extremely high level of support!
Absolutely fantastic. We have been running 3 Ubuntu servers on our ESXi and they have never caused an issue. Super low memory and CPU requirement but do work rubustly.
Pros
It is lightweight but very powerful operating system with a lot of out of the box features and packages.I have always found everything I needed in Ubuntu with very little need to install packages.
Cons
Sometimes I feel it lacks the user interface of the consumer based Windows operating systems, may it be the server or the desktop versions. But after I compare the resource usage, it always makes Ubuntu work it for mission critical work.

The "all you can eat" for Linux Distros
Thanks to all the people behind Ubuntu and Its community, I can for sure say that Using Ubuntu led me to this world of Linux and I could not be more pleased with that. Today we use it in our company for Users that need to use something reliable and tons of support.
Pros
Sincerely, talking about Ubuntu has become almost as talk as the Linux System itself, it's the most complete Debian based distro, and support from developers and the community is outstanding, you can use it for starting the Linux world or for complex computational calculations (software developers often thinks in ubuntu support).
Cons
It can be a little overwhelming work with Linux at first, but this happens with anyone that is new to this world. But Ubuntu almost doesn't have any flaws and can make the transition a little more appealing.

Polished UI, robust kernel, welcome to Ubuntu!
As the main daily driver of my home PC, I'm very satisfied with the level of support and quality of this operating system. I understand and appreciate the vast number of distros on the market and choosing Ubuntu over the others means it is something special.
Pros
Ubuntu is one of the most user friendly distros out there. It offers you both security and great user interface in one whole package. The frequency of the updates make sure that your operating system is reliable and robust.
Ubuntu uses GNOME desktop environment by default and I must say its one of the most polished desktop environments on the market. It's very customizable and very responsive.
The goal of Ubuntu team has been to create an operating system that is easy to use on desktop computers and I believe they have nailed this.
The availability of software packages for this operating system has made it very convenient. Most of software providers create Debian packages which are compatible with Ubuntu.
Cons
To be able to put your finger on shortcomings of a software you don't really have to think that hard. When it comes to Ubuntu I must say it is difficult because the team behind Ubuntu have tried their best and they have succeeded in the one goal and that is to make an operating system which is very user friendly.

Class enterprise server, fast, secure and easy to implement.
Daily I keep my servers running, web applications and files with Ubuntu, they exist with other distros without any problem. The CLI complies with the standard.
My backup solutions work perfectly with the basic configuration.
Pros
Ubuntu Server: With ubuntu server I can customize every aspect of my system, webserver, file system, services and a variety of tuning in each aspect.
From the installation I can choose all the services that I will use, even if I need a graphical environment and / or web administration.
Cons
Like all linux distro it has its peculiarities. But there is not a difficulty that can leave you without service taking the best precautions.

My favourite OS is Ubuntu
Pros
It's tough to talk about Ubuntu without comparing it to Linux. I make my living off of Linux, so it's important that Ubuntu is as good of an operating system as its predecessor. I can say definitively that it falls short in a number of different ways, but its price point is what really has me on the fence. It might be worth the risk if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Windows or MacOS. The biggest
Cons
I have been an Ubuntu user for years and it has never disappointed me! It is such a convenient operating system that I can't imagine using any other. Ubuntu is the only OS for me!

Great desktop OS
I have really enjoyed my use Ubuntu and regularly recommend it to others for their systems as a full replacement to windows.
Pros
We have installed and deployed the Ubuntu OS on several of our computers fro email and file server purposes as well as for general office desktop use. The computers we have are older since we try to keep more money available to the residents, and Ubuntu has allowed us to use these older computers much more effectively and extend the useful life as system resources do not get bogged down as they would with a windows system.
Cons
I haven't found anything that I don't really like about the system. We have been able to run pretty much any software we need and in many cases some things are much more easily accomplished vs on a windows machine.

Freeway of Linux
I use it portable. My files and my settings are in my USB and always live with Ubuntu. Despite of my windows usage habit, Ubuntu is really free and it doesn't need to much PC resource.
Pros
I like that I learned linux and lots of bash command with Ubuntu.
I like its minimalistic and nice interface. I like its similarity Windows. So It wasn't hard to get used to it.
Cons
It's too hard to find games compatible with Ubuntu. There is a lack of game drives. There's lack and slowness of sync exchange accounts.

Get to know more about Ubuntu
Overall ubuntu comes very handy after getting comfortable with it's UI. It is also very fast and works without any lag.
Pros
Ubuntu is completely free of cost and it is made for ease of developers.
Cons
It takes some time to adjust to the UI of ubuntu and navigation of windows through command prompt is also a bit tedious.
