- The easy adaptability, very flexible. As administrator you can use an extensive backoffice which has improved greatly in recent years
- The good integration options
- The very good helpdesk support
- The variety of modules that can be used. We use facility management, fleet management, inventory and purchasing, item distribution, key management, studio rental and infrastructure management.
- Ability to create your own reports

- Some nice-to-have user interface features : double click on a grid, color rows in a selection list depending on status

- Generating QR code for infrastructure is not yet possible

Reasons for Switching to IFS Ultimo

Pros

Ultimo is a very complete product for our facility services. We now also start using it for our medical departments.

Cons

Sometimes you win .. sometimes you lose .. when something is not possible in the product. Now we have difficulty in connecting our assetmanagement with Ultimo.

As a Application Administrator I like that Ultimo is very configurable. Not only the way the screens are build, but also on how some fields are filled. The possibilities of Workflows are very extensive.

One has to be careful not to "overimplement" and stay close to the standard way of working.

The many possibilities and functionalities are great. This software can do a lot, almost anything is possible to manage assets properly. The possibilities to link to other software systems are also very nice.

User-friendliness can be improved and the software is complex to implement and set up.

Ease of use is very high, also the freedom to customize the Ultimo Environment in the Premium version is a big plus.

i cannot think of a negative factor to Ultimo that cannot be changed or modified ourself in the UCT.

Ultimo is very easy to use, they provide you with more than enough trainings in their own academy. You easily can track, control, maintain your equipment or inventory in your company. To make sure you equipment stays up-to-date and when needed you can easily send out maintenance/repair jobs.

Cons

You do need a bit of time and training before you are really able to use all the facets of Ultimo.

Pros

One of the most interesting features about Ultimo is the possibility to involve more departments and start unsing Ultimo as a dashboard for similar information.
Of course we still have to take a long journey and convince more internal departments.
They need to understand the sense of use and advantages.
This can create more involvement and positive energy between different department levels within your company.

- Perhaps it's because of the fact that we still use an Ultimo version of 2017 but for example when a job is completed and the report has been attached, the moment you want to change the status of the perticular job means that we need to take some extra steps before the job can be set as completed.
- Maybe a good tip at Ultimo to create an automatic job construction for contracts and let the user know that the contract will become to an end at 3 months before the contract really ends.
In this way we can take control regarding all the contracts.

At this moment I use Ultimo for about 20 years and I am still satisfied to work with it because of its user-friendliness, easy way to implement equipment and installations, set up maintenance models and instructions for them and the connections that can be made with other features in Ultimo (f.i. hours and costs registration and charging it to cost centres). Expecially the Ultimo GO+ is essential for the mechanics to have quick respons at notifications or malfunctions.

It would be fine if showed trends in the dashboard could be transfered to f.i. MS-word or MS-excel to report en discus it with management or other people who do not work with Ultimo or do not have acces to it.

Ultimo is very sootable to administrate all to maintain equipment at all levels. It is also available as a app on an i-pad or telephone for using in the field. That what most users like the most.
Ultimo is perfect to manage. It is very flexibel in adjusting it's configuration. Placing new buttons or new fields on a screen is easy.
