Good open source project turned proprietary.
not bad it worked great when i was using it, right now i switch to other tools like WinSCP.
Pros
FileZilla was one of the most popular widely used and a pillar of open source projects on Windows, that end up turning proprietary.
in the last few years the development of this great Files upload tool turned into the proprietary
FileZilla pro while the free open source version is limited to only FTP and SFTP.
Cons
Most the the development, functions and supported protocols are added to the proprietary version FileZilla Pro.

Excellent software for file transfers
Despite the speed issues, I think this is a great piece of software.
Pros
I like how simple it is to use! I just put in the requisite login information and I'm ready to go.
Cons
I wish that the file transfer process was faster. Sometimes, it can hours or even days to download folders containing 500mb-1tb of data.

Top FTP solution on the market
I can now handle projects on both my local PC and the distant server with ease. I'm also capable of maintaining appropriate synchronization between the two platforms. The fast connect bar on the top of the FileZilla program eliminates the trouble of remembering and inputting the password every time. If there is any other job going on at the same time, I may adjust the transfer speed limitations to my satisfaction. This file transfer program is suggested for all users for moving data from one location to another, whether it's your local computer or a remote server. Very handy if your file has been updated and you need to sync it with the cloud or a distant server in real-time. It is quite popular since it is free of charge.
Pros
Filezilla's ability to be a full-featured file management program appeals to me. It has been intended to be used to move files via FTP or SFTP, for example, for web hosting. I found more practical usages than the company could realize for this software. I like to use it not only to handle FTP transactions but I can really see hidden files on my machines without going to my settings or input a certain key combination. I also want to be able to delete files that I wouldn't be able to delete permanently through Filezilla. On my Mac, I can actually delete the file and then go to the garbage basket, without having to send it to the trash bin. I may really erase it from the local file page of the window from the whole device. The second wonderful thing about Filezilla and the deletion of files is that: I recently was banned from accessing my OneDrive, which lets you to maintain a local cloud file shortcut. I could not even remove the files by being banned. I could truly remove files and directories permanently with Filezilla. This program must be installed on any machine (and I have 3). I also love that the search file on Filezilla is one thousand thousand times faster.
Cons
FileZilla's least able to help in is its data transmission speeds. 2 Mbps is the maximum upload rate. This means that I can receive and upload a dedicated 40Mbps bandwidth connection. Sometimes this is not suitable for massive data transfer, since it takes a lot of time.

FileZilla saves the day repeatedly
It's a heaven send, often I wasted time trying to get an SMB windows share connect working before I realized FileZilla could fit the bill nicely.
Pros
When I need to share files between computers running different OSes; e.g. Windows and Linux; FileZilla Server works where the alternatives all fail. For example, recently working on a Linux system where we build the kernel , smbclient didn't work due to the non-standard kernel build. The answer was running FileZilla Server on the Windows system; then just enter the Windows system sftp url into the Linux file explorer and I can drag and drop files between the two systems.
Cons
FileZilla is free, so for customer support you must be adept at searching to find some of the best tricks to get the most out of it.

FileZilla never fails me and I would recommend it any day :)
Easy to use, free or at a reasonable price if you are using the subscription, FileZilla works and its features are on point with my needs. All I can say is "Thanks!" to the developers.
Pros
Love the FileManager which reminds me of this old-school app FileCommander! The file manager helps you easily locate where you want something downloaded, provides easy access as well!
The pause/stop feature is just awesome + it looks to me like if for any reason the receiving server stops the connection file transfer can later be attempted to be resumed from where it stopped instead of starting all over again - very useful in my experience!
The ability to directly edit a file through local editor. Sometimes this is exactly what I need and it has never failed me!
It's open-source! :)
Cons
Not much really.. maybe not too sure how it handles transferred data safety.

An FTP program that does what it is meant to do
I've used this Filezilla since release (about 20 years ago). It's come with me everywhere and is an integral part of my day-to-day operations. It's always done exactly what i need it to do and is the best way to queue large file transfers.
Pros
This program is easy to fire up and connect to a server. Depending on your needs, there are some quick-connect options and more advanced connection options. You can open files directly from a server with your text editor of choice and make changes that are uploaded when you save. Overall, it's nice simple FTP program.
Cons
There is a lack of Mac OS support is disappointing.

Great tool for SFTP
We use FileZilla to connect to our local Servers secure locations, Remote servers location, Clients Shared location and our quarterly managed cloud locations to process our integral part of the work. FileZilla made it easier for us to manage multiple locations and update, upload and download the contents from various work spaces.
Pros
FileZilla is fast, reliable and great in connectivity with servers, locations and folders over different ports and protocols. I found Filezilla to very useful part of our organization in managing the contents from different locations, servers and Clients connectivity.
Cons
I have seen Filezilla updating too frequently due to which we have to push the updates more often. Not much backdraw of the software overall.

One of my favorite software for File Uploads on a Server
I use filezilla for uploading files to the Hosting Servers. And, so far I haven't had any need to look for other options for uploading the files using FTP/SFTP.
Pros
Filezilla is easy to use, and helps me upload the files on server(s) without too much hasle. I mean you can simply launch the software, login, select the destination directory & start uploading the files. Other thing that I like is that it is free to use.
Cons
There interface has been same as far as I can remember, so that could use some change. Apart from that, works awesome for me.

The "go to" FTP client on Mac
Pros
It's an excellent FTP app that has been around for a long time, and it shows through all the features that are available. Updates are frequent, and always appear to improve stability and add new features to stay up to date. It's easy to set up a new connection, and to have lots of different connections open in the tabbed interface.
Cons
There are quite a bewildering amount of options available now. It can be cumbersome to right click to view/edit files rather than double click, which downloads the file.

Great File Transfer Program
I have used FileZilla for both my job and personally for years. It makes transferring files smooth and painless. It was very easy to setup the FTP interface and simply drag the files into the remote folder and they upload quickly. I had to move my settings from one PC to another recently and it was super easy to export the settings from the first PC and import them into the second. This is great if you have multiple employees that need to access the same servers. Just set up once, export it, and use that to import into the other computers. If you need something beyond standard FTP there is also an inexpensive Pro version to get you set up with webDAV, Dropbox, Google Drive, and more.
Pros
Easy to use and set up. You can upload via the file structure of your local site or just drop and drag. Import/Export of FTP settings. Free and Pro applications available.
Cons
Software updates happening almost nightly, so you have to update it almost every time you open the program on your PC.

One of the best file transfer software
Pros
I bought Filezilla Pro in 2017 and have only a few times since then needed to use other software. In the Pro version you have all the connection features to many cloud services that are very useful for those who do my job (Software engineer).
Cons
It would be very useful to have the ability to transfer files from one cloud connection to another automatically.

Best way to manage server files and website backend
Pros
Filezilla makes it really easy to manage server files. I'm not someone who works in this area a lot so it's something that I find very complicated and difficult, but my experience with this software has been really good and doesn't require a lot of technical know how to get things connected and working. Also being able to use it for free is amazing!
Cons
My Filezilla seems to frequently require updates which, on mac, means reinstalling the software and removing the old software. I don't know if this is for security or something but it's really annoying to have to do it so frequently.

Review of FileZilla
I use FileZilla to keep a list of servers saved for our integrations. For internal use I can usually RDP onto the server to handle file transfer, but for external integrations and partners I prefer to use FileZilla. FileZilla is simple to configure given any credential details which made it a preferred choice when you have many different clients or partners.
Pros
I like the simplicity of FileZilla. It is very simple to add saved connections for quickly connecting/switching between servers. We use linux so the install is straightforward. For most cases, FileZilla is ideal for SFTP and FTP servers.
Cons
We've had issues with installing FileZilla on Windows so we stick to Linux. For highly customizable connections, FileZilla may not be capable of facilitating the connection. For example, we have one connection requiring several certs and passwords to connect which we are unable to do via FileZilla and instead have to go through the terminal.

Filezilla review!
We've been using this software for more than a year now in our job. We upload and download files, connect to other server and we haven't encounter any problems. So far for me, this software still performs good and its free for everyone.
Pros
This software is not difficult to utilize, very simple to set up. It is as often as possible refreshed with new features and security choices. I like also this software because it is free. It is also uploads and downloads fast and has all the settings to connect to another server.
Cons
The thing that I least like about them is their customer service because they do not answer fast to our inquiries which is needed in our work.

Pros
Filezilla has a great queuing system that allows an easy migration from CPanel to local environment.

Excellent FTP, makes document and data sharing easy
Love the product, it has been a game changer for file sharing for myself and my team.
Pros
The UI is very user friendly, the drag and drop feature is a big time saver. I also like that the file management and file transfer is seamless, it makes managing backups and quick file edits very smooth!
Cons
This is a minor request, but i woudl liek to be able to set colors to file types. Like in my editor, different languages are in a different color. It would make navigating even easier.

Feature complete solution for your ftp/scp needs
Pros
What amazes me with this software is that in 10+ years I am using it, I never missed a feature. FileZilla concentrates on ftp/sftp transfers, and does this very well. For free!
Cons
What would be helpful, would be integration of cloud storage services (Google Drive, Dropbox etc). There is a Pro version that provides this integration.

A fast and simple FTP client
Pros
Filezilla is a tool that I have used for many years. Its evolutions have allowed it to stay up to date over the years and I have trouble finding an alternative solution as simple and practical
Cons
Unfortunately, for some time, the company behind Filezilla has created an installation file that includes the installation of bloatware. This is a disappointing, but understandable commercial strategy

FileZilla
Pros
I primarily use FileZilla to upload files to external FTP sites. It's great for that purpose as well as pulling information out of locations on our internal servers.
Cons
It can be complicated to find information, but that's more of an internal issue than a functionality issue.
