May Not Be Easy For A Typical User
I have used Quicken for over five years and I have like using it, however, I have recently been shopping around for other options that allow me to take my finances online. I have seen Quicken has an online option now and I will be considering that when making the switch.
Pros
You are able to setup Quicken to sync transactions with your various bank and financial institutions. If you have the skills and proper data entered, you are able to run reports with valuable information.
Cons
Quicken isn't always user friendly. I'm an accountant who has worked with many financial software, so I can work my way through it, but it isn't always user friendly. I also do not love how Quicken treats transfers between accounts as income and expense.

Quicken is OK
It worked, but managing the various categories was tedious. Seems like the Business Intelligence algorithms would be better and generate more intuitive category names.
Pros
Quicken as reasonably priced and linked fairly easily to my bank account and credit card account.
Cons
I did not like how the naming of charges in my bank account and cards did not line up very cleanly with the Quicken import data. It seemed like I was always scrubbing the data.

Good Value for home use
Overall it was a good experience for the ease of inputting information and the price. It just did not do everything that I needed it to.
Pros
The value for the price. Compared to other accounting software - it is much more cost effective.
Cons
For a small business it was missing some key components like payroll. Only have 1 employee but payroll is a must.

Quicken Review
Overall I think leveraging quicken for my accounting purposes relieves a lot of the work between myself and my bookkeeper.
Pros
The features and functionality of Quicken meet many of my business. The reporting is simple and easy to apply and access.
I think managing multiple businesses is good with this system. It has more of a scaleable feature.
Cons
there are times when making entries or correcting entries that I think the steps could be simplified. I also think creating custom reports could be easier in terms of formatting them report and customzing to logo and branding

Quicken knows more about my spending than I do!
I have been using Quicken for Mac diligently since 1995. I use it pretty much daily. It can answer pretty much any question I have about my historical spending. I have used it to track my personal spending, the spending on my self-employed business and my employee expenses.
Pros
Quicken is my memory of pretty much everything I have spent money on since 1995. The reporting capabilities are excellent!
Cons
I wish it handled multiple currencies better (eg. Canadian and US dollars)

Hard to use in the beginning, however customer support has been great and has always been able to answer any questions I have with ease and just make it easy for me. The product overall has been great and truly helped transform the way we do our accounting.

Quicken does so much more than your standard budgeting and financial keeping. It has helped streamline our business and has been so efficient in our accounting needs
Cons
it was definitley hard to use at first. it took some time and asking lots of questions to really understand it. customer support has been great though

Expensive
I have been using Quicken since the DOS days. I never had any problems until the new owners took over. The program has been very glitchy ever since. Since this is the only program out there that is not overkill for my small church, I am forced to use it.
Pros
The financial reports I can generate is very flexible.
Cons
The program is becoming very expensive to use. There are glitches with some of the updates which messes up the check register. Many problems with connecting with my Wells Fargo accounts.

Can get it done
Generally, a well-maintained piece of software, though from time to time features break and sometimes it takes a while for the bugs to get addressed.
Pros
Quicken is better suited for personal use, but we have been using it for our company for over a decade and it does what we need.
Cons
Payroll options are expensive, and not all the options are available.

Using Quicken is never quick
My overall experience has been mediocre at best.

Leasing agent use of Quicken
Pros
I love Quicken for my personal budgeting of my finances. It can organize efficiently and is a powerful financial tool that provides ease of use.
Cons
Sometimes the application runs slow, but that is more likely a cause of my older computer. The software itself never fails to disappoint, but could sometimes run faster.

Data loss after update
Up until my purchase last year, Quicken served me well.
Pros
I have used Quicken for 20+ years for personal and business needs. After my 2006 Mac crashed, I bought a new 2022 MacBook Pro and installed the latest version of Quicken. I spent considerable time setting up accounts, bank imports and entering data for the year 2021, and for one reason or another did not enter any new data after tax day 2022. On opening the program today, I installed the most recent update, as one would usually do, after which, I discovered that all my newly entered financial data on this brand new laptop and newly installed program no longer existed. I praise the technical support team for at least attempting, but failing, to help me.The checkbook feature of Quicken for Mac 2007 that this awful program replaced was bullet proof and never failed me in the many years I had used it until the computer itself died. I do not trust that this couldn't happen again, so I am going to switch to a simpler checkbook accounting system that does not nickle and dime you with "membership" fees. Be warned that running their update could cost you.
Cons
That I lost precious data that technical support was unable to retrieve.

Quicken is Confusing
Pros
Quicken has a lot of perks that’ll help you budget well. The automatic features are nice in theory.
Cons
Where do I start? First of all I can’t see anything. Everything is confusing. I don’t know where to start. It always says I’m in the red and gets mixed up. I need something dummy proof.

Requires some basic accounting skills
Pros
So there are more use friendly suites out there, but once you get a grasp of some basic accounting concepts then this software outperforms all the rest as it is very versatile for a variety of business entities and can be tweaked to suit your individual needs, unlike may of the competitors
Cons
It costs more than many others on the market, can be a but clunky in certain features

Quick, get Quicken! It will pay for itself in use.
With the financial reporting features, this will make communications of financial status easy with your full team and even a board.
Pros
Full and proven feature-rich with an easy user interface. A new user can ease into financial tracking at any level, building up for a full net worth reporting that increases with expanding use.
Cons
This product will pay for itself with even initial basic use. I can't find any fault with it after over 20 years of use.
