rentalresult - running rental software

We use rentalresult for decades and are happy with the functionality and stability to run a rental business with thousands of rental assets, continuously expanding number of items, big number of customers and business contracts.

Pros

rentalresult is a very stable software that i capable to run big numbers of transactions and to hold thousands of records on assets and documents

Cons

System has a lot of areas which we don't use. So the screens sometimes seem to be overloaded. But it is not a weakness of rentalresult. More a weakness that we don't use all functions.

Wynne Rental Result Review

I pulled all of our data from our old Tool Tracking software Tool Watch, and performed the implementation into Wynne. My overall experience with Wynne is that it is a very competitive system in terms of what solutions it can offer companies. It is much more robust than Tool Watch. Although, we do not use the accounting side of rental result at all so we are essentially only using half the system. But from the tool tracking side I very much like it.
They have a great help and support desk system, which other tech companies cannot say.
Their system developers are pretty good at handling immediate issues, and their system bugs are fixed in a decent amount of time. We do have long wait times on some bugs getting fixed which can be annoying.

Pros

I like that this product is highly customizable. It is a very intelligent system at the end of they day. The support team at Wynne is one of the best that I have encountered. Especially our CSM representative [sensitive content hidden] , he is a fabulous person and always helps McGough solve whatever problems we are facing. He is a true advocate for us and that is so valuable!

Cons

Because it is highly configurable on the positive end, the negative side to that is that the system can be very buggy with glitches and software issues.
Their help desk is very responsive, which is great. But the amount of bugs that have cropped up over time are quite alot. I have submitted around a hundred help desk tickets due to software issues.
Wynne is very reasonable on what they charge for system fixes. However I know they are a very expensive software compared to some other ones. Althought

RentalResult review

Good, the system enables us to manage our asset fleet and generate revenue. The integrated portal is a positive for customers to use and interact with the processes.

Pros

The system offers a purchase control centre for fast invoice matching.
There is a full end to end transactional workflow.

Cons

The Portal is not user friendly in its design and requires user training. Web portals should be self serve and easy.
Some of the input screens don't support fast data entry like similar systems do. Lines are added one by one through a separate sub screen and an item code search has to be done every time.
A more modern tabular design with dynamic item code searches would support faster data entry.
The mobile apps dont satisfy some of the basic requirements from these areas. (realise each customer may use differently), but some functions are limited.
There are no abilities to change transactions once selected. Transactions denote a workflow, users should be able to abort our of one workflow and start another when operational delivery has changed.

RentalResult Review

We have had a pretty good partnership with RentalResult over the years and they are always willing to work with us to get the most out of the product.

Pros

Having the ability to track assets and inventory in real time is critical to our business.

Cons

Integration with other systems is a challenge and involves a tremendous amount of development work to sync multiple systems.
Could be more user friendly and intuitive.

Support is always exceptional, product works great for a unique application

Pros

Its set up and designed for Large GC Equipment Yard opertaions

Cons

Would like to see an improvement and reduction of inventory control/inquire screens
Cost of development gets high, updates and modifications are a challenge

Overall Review

Hands down best customer service experiences with our group. [SENSITIVE CONTENT]
is awesome! Software is sometimes clunky in the way you have to go through so many steps.

Pros

Asset Tracking, full blown system to run a rental company within a construction company

Cons

Apps are not downloadable to Android
Too many steps to check-in/out equipment

Wynne

Pros

If the system is set up effectively, it is easy to use. We did not set things up on the front end very well

Cons

The customization is extremely clunky and expensive. Wynne's programming costs / timing are not very effective for organizational change
