For Ecommerce platforms, WooCommerce offers the best value for money by far.
I have been building and running many of my own Woocommerce stores over the past 15 years, personally designing, building and publishing the stores as well as sourcing the products, managing the logistics, order processing and customer care.
Over the past 5 years,, I have been doing the same for clients, including SEO and online marketing of the Woocommerce stores.
Pros
The basic Woocommerce platform delivers all the features needed to run a successful e-commerce shop for most industries or niche services.
The thousands of specialist plugins that expand on this basic platform make it suitable for any specialisation you can think of.
On top of it all, the platform is free and most plugins have a free tier that is sufficient for most situations.
All you need to add is hosting, a domain, some WordPress knowledge and time and you can build a powerful ecommmerce store withouot the high monthly rates of competing platforms.
Cons
You need to invest some time in learning the basics of the platform if you want to build you own store. Alternatively, you can engage a WordPress developer at reasonable rates to build your site.

I love WooCommerce!
I love using WooCommerce. It's the best store platform I've used for a long time. It's easy to customise it for what I need and integrates with a lot of other platforms and payment providers to make selling easy. There's a lot of plugin options that range from free to paid to cover what you want to offer all in one place. The app also makes it easy to track sales and update customers on dispatch and posting details etc. Overall I'd 100% recommend WooCommerce.
Pros
Love how easy it is to set up and how many different plugins you can get to customise it exactly how you need it.
Cons
There is a bit of a learning curve but there are also plenty of how to walkthroughs online to make using it easier.

ShopifyReasons for Choosing WooCommerce
The pricing for Squarespace kept going up while the features stayed largely the same. I made the decision to switch to wordpress for my site and so installing WooCommerce was a no brainer. The functionality and customisation options are fantastic, especially for the price when most of the things you need to get started are free.Switched From
SquarespaceReasons for Switching to WooCommerce
I decided not to go with Shopify because, while it was easier to set up and use straight away, there was a monthly fee to pay from the beginning and I wasn't sure how much I'd use it. I also needed to move my main website and wordpress with WooCommerce allowed me the flexibility to set up my site and have different plugins depending on what I needed from my site. I also wasn't sure how popular my online store would be and not having to pay a monthly fee with WooCommerce was a more attractive option.- Industry: Marketing & Advertising

Good product but more free features needed
It's done the job but hopefully a better competitor arrives on the scene which will include more features for a fraction of the price (price includes for features not included for free).
Pros
The integration with Wordpress which is what we use for CMS. It's quite simple once setup, and allows a smooth customer journey from entering the store to purchasing.
Cons
The issues from updates; always have to backup (good procedure anyway) as well as the security bloatware required in order to setup/use WooCommerce.

Overall really good it surprised by the impressive variety of extensions and plugins.
Pros
Like how you can see where the source of the conversion came from, and how easy it is to see the analytics, and to understand what is selling the best.
Cons
User experience could be improved, as I feel like it is not as user friendly compared to other platforms

Great Ecommerce Tool
I love WooCommerce. I use it to build my Ecommerce website and those of my clients. Processing sales, marketing using coupons and it’s integration to many email marketing software makes it even amazing.
Pros
I love how seemless it is to use WooCommerce with WordPress. It’s easier to use it to collect payment and easy to use.
Cons
The only cons I have is that you need to buy some more tools if you need to use some advance features but most of those features are just addons.

Easy to start, hard to optimise
Pros
Is the 2nd fastest tool to create an ecommerce in less than 1 hour.
You are in control of your checkout process and your money, and you are not forced to pay fees on every sell
Cons
You need to pay a lot of plugins or have your coders in order to optimise everything. There is a lot of things you cannot do without coding

WooCommerce to sell
Pros
WooCommerce is the best way to transform your WordPress website into a powerful online shop. Setting up the plugin is easy and straightforward. Items management is easy and intuitive.
The most important thing at WooCommerce is the compatibility with all wordpress plugins. Increase security, increase website loading speed and the most important SEO.
Cons
A good webhosting (usually more expensive) is needed for a fluid experience.

Quite good software for basic shops
As a developer, I created many shops for my clients. It is a good software for basic ecommerce needs. There are many free plugins for it, but often there is a need to buy additional subscription plugins. So it appears that it is free, but in reality it is not. So you are left with writing extensions by yourself or keep paying for extentions.
Pros
- Basic functionality is free
- Enough for most ecommerce needs
- Easy to set up
- Quite good documentation
Cons
- For more advanced functions you need a lot of paid plugins
- Seems a litle bit bloated

The most flexible ecommerce platform around
I'm a big fan of WooCommerce and use it for a number of client ecommerce stores.
Pros
WooCommerce is open source and built on top of Wordpress, so it is the easiest and most cost-effective way to add ecommerce to a Wordpress website. It is also incredibly flexible, with a huge number of plugins and code snippets that can extend and alter its fuctionality.
Cons
The user interface is a little dated compared to the likes of Shopify. It is still pretty simple to use, but it's interface does not feel as modern or look as clean as Shopify's platform.
Reasons for Switching to WooCommerce
WooCommerce is more flexible than any alternative and can often be a more cost-effective solution compared to the hosted platforms like Shopify, where sometimes you need "apps" for relatively simple features.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

WooCommerce is brilliant for MultiPurpose sites
Woo Commerce has allowed us to push our sales to online, it provides somewhere easy for us to send our existing customers to look up what we have in stock, and possibly open us up for sales from outside the area.
Pros
The built in inventory management and easy of use for those familiar with wordpress is brilliant. The fact that you can upgrade and existing business site to add the functionality later on is brilliant.
Cons
Shipping in our country (NZ) costs a lot to get set up properly with plugins. If you are happy setting up shipping classes and then sometimes loosing out when people buy more than what you can ship for their size box, then its fine.
Reasons for Switching to WooCommerce
As we already had an exsisting WordPress website it made the transition way easier.- Industry: Computer Software

Have used it for years and it's gotten better and better and is the cornerstone of my online store.
Pros

Cons

Enables any business to perform like a store.
It's usually a positive experience. To be fair, it is the pricing of WooCommerce addons that puts me off sometimes.
Pros
Woocommerce allows even the smallest of shops to push their products across the internet.
Cons
It can rarely be used "out of the box". It takes a lot to set up and isn't for unknowledgeable users. But then, I'm happy to set it up for our clients which means all they need to do is edit their inventory or add new products.

WooCommerce if you want to sell
A great WordPress plugin, transform a simple WordPress website into a powerful online shop. Easy to secure and optimize for SEO and speed.
Pros
WooCommerce and WordPress is the perfect combination to sell online. Been using this plugin for a few years now and with every update is getting better and better. Adding plugins to the WordPress setup increases your shop security (with security plugins) and my favorite, increase SEO for every product available. For customization you have endless possibilities, creating and customizing a WordPress theme is quite easy, or you can find already made themes at reasonable prices.
Cons
No cons found for WooCommerce until now.

WooCommerce User review
Overall, Woo Commerce is an amazing platform and a very reliable choice in the e-commerce space. One of it's advantage as a popular system is that it has a large and active community of users and developers that can easily provide knowledge and support.
Pros
I would say that Woo Commerce is very cost effective which is ideal for small and medium business like our company. The order and customer accounts management system is efficient and runs very smoothly.
Cons
At first glance, the user interface a looks a bit archaic and complicated at the same time. I supposed the design of the UI can still be improved. The required regular updates to maintain security and compatibility is helpful but at the same time affects our productivity negatively.

Easy E-Commerce Set Up
Pros
WooCommerce is easy to install on WordPress websites and comes with a lot of features that are pre-set up out of the box. WooCommerce also has many extension plugins available depending on what features your online store needs.
Cons
Setting up shipping and taxes is a little bit more complicated. There could be an easy UI for this along with more support documentation to make this process smoother.

The Best and Affordable e-Commerce software
My overall experience was fantastic and very positive. WooCommerce was handy at an affordable price. I highly recommend it.
Pros
Regarding e-commerce software, WooCommerce stands out from its competitors, for its ability to adapt to the administrators' needs. It's affordable and very convenient. Its data handling capacity is amazing, and it is a highly recommended software.
Cons
When you're about to publish a product linked with your e-commerce store, WooCommerce makes it automatically, without allowing you to refine its elements first. That needs improvement.

Web visibility for your business
In a world of social networks and internet having a website is important, even in real estate. WooCommerce helps to position yourself in the market.
Pros
Its main advantage is the cost, although it is free, the technical support is strong because there is a large community behind it willing to help with problems that arise. Being an open source software it is scalable, more products or more features could be added.
Cons
The management of the software requires knowledge of WordPress, not everyone can handle it the first time. At the same time it depends on third-party plugins, which sometimes impacts the performance of the website.
