Q/ris Radiology
Satisfied.
Pros
MSIT is able to customize the needs of each outside read site. We can purchase the modules that are needed for our business. We don't have to pay for modules that aren't needed in our operation.
Cons
On a few occasions, we have features that don't work and we have to follow-up several times to get these items corrected. Would like to have quarterly meetings to discuss new functions, software update information, and issues that are outstanding..

MedQ Q/ris 3000 Workflow is a walk in the park
Scheduling of patients for multiple modalities can be viewed on one screen. You can personalize or put restrictions on the Q/ris when it comes to scheduling patients so that staff can not put the wrong procedure in the wrong rooms.
Pros
I like the user-friendliness of the product. The implementation process was very professional, the sales representative listened to the needs of my business and was spot on with the delivery of the product. He even gave sound advice on a billing system that was very easy to integrate with the system.
Cons
There aren't enough report scenarios that you could run out of MedQ alone.

Old software that is poorly designed.
During implementation, it was okay. Everything after was horrible. They held us hostage nearly cost us our whole company.
As a software engineer, I can tell when something is poorly designed. Medq is definitely one of those. Their business practices are just wrong.
Pros
Faxing service works. Users are able to triage incoming faxes and enter in orders.
Cons
Pretty much everything else. It is very clunky and error prone. Expect to have errors frequently.
The billing module is non existent. Workflows break if you work with another teleradiology group.

Review of MedQ products both Dictation and ris modules
Pros
Ease of use for technical staff and patient sevices personel. Easy to access historical information on all patients. Dictation module functions well.
Cons
That I cannot access patient documents in MedQ dictation. I have to go to qris to review patient documents if needed while dictating a case.

QRIS review
We went live with QRIS at the same time as we replaced our PACS and dictation platforms so the benefits from only QRIS are hard to quantify. Of the 3 platforms QRIS is the most robust.
Pros
The software is easy to use and the implementation and support teams are top tier.
Cons
Easy access to submitted CPT codes would be very useful. Currently we have to send CPT changes to the serivce desk for them to implement
