Coding assesment tool that candidates and managers love

We increased our assessment-taking rate in 40% with the tool, and it has also had a good impact on evaluating hard skills for engineers trying to enter the company.

Pros

It was very easy to set up, the pre-made tests are very good and they fit normal job tasks for developers. The code editor is good and results reports are very detailed

Cons

none by the moment, it fits the needs of my team

Useful tool for candidate prescreening

We use the tool for candidate prescreening - a 20-30 minute technical exercise before a candidate is invited for an onsite interview. We've had some success with the tool but are having some difficulty tuning the questions such that the score is a decent indicator of a candidate's success.

Pros

Preconfigured questions and test cases that allows users to use an online IDE to submit a coding sample. Relatively low price point to other tools evaluated.

Cons

Difficult to tune the prescreening questions to meet our needs - we're still working through a balance of finding questions that aren't a time burden on candidates but produce a decent amount of code to review for quality (not just accuracy + time as is auto graded).

Good for small number of requirements

We are a Travel and Technology organization that supports start-up platforms. We understand the limitations and we give chances to them- sometimes too many chances. I would say this is one of those platforms that fail miserably in many aspects. We are hiring 12-17 Developers per month but this platform did not give justice to the cost. Moreover what really prompt us to give up is the support and the attitude of the [SENSITIVE CONTENT]in his responses in the email) during a few chances we reach out to them.

Pros

Easy to implement. No hassle on setting up. Does not require a lot of work if this is your first time using an assessment tool

Cons

If you are a company that uses ATS or any platform for recruitment - It's not for you. They cannot be integrated into any new/mostly used ATS
If you are a company that spends time(wanted to invest) in Candidate Experience - It's not for you. Coderbyte features in this area are not as customizable for their pricing.
If you are a company that loves good UI/UX - It's not for you. The Assessments have to be open 1 by 1 in a new tab, or else you will lose all the changes.
If you are a company with a limited budget - It's not for you. All basic feature like downloading the list of candidates has to be purchased
If you like a product that loves to receive support - DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU. You will be asked (or demanded) by the [SENSITIVE CONTENT] to provide a reason why are you canceling and prove that your feedback is not true. You have to be ready on following up with them with whatever Add ons you purchased.

Simple, Affordable & Straightforward

Excellent. Its definitely the best solution at its price range.

Pros

The customer support team is great and the product is user-friendly.

Cons

It's a bit new, there are some rough edges and there aren't great options for integration (only zapier).

Reasons for Switching to Coderbyte

Price & Performance were both better. Also great template library.

Is Coderbyte worth it? Here's what I think...

Overall, coderbyte is good product with minimal room for improvement

Pros

Coderbyte is has a wonderful UI to make and manage the tests

The assessmentof students are not hard to the point that we can without a doubt confine and sort the students.

Rating of the coding round questions and giving the complexity of the courses of action is really evident component.

Recognizing the copiers is uncommonly basic as we are getting information about each and every advancement of the student.r 1 million customer plans that are available to people.

The evaluation of understudies are not hard to the point that we can without a doubt disengage and sort the understudies.

Cons

-Need to have mass import function in the custom questions tests choice.
-A definitive answer for coding round questions should be imparted to the recruiter. this will assist the recruitment team with intersection check the coding round arrangement of students.
-Now and then discovered no data about the student's developments
