We have compared to many other offerings and we love how thorough and robust this software is while handling multi-state apportionment and each state we have to work in. > > **Cons**: The software is dated. It looks like a dinosaur circa Windows 98 style software. But we're okay with using this as a desktop server-based software until a better more modern offering comes out. I wish UltraTax had better integration with Quickbooks or other tax document reporting systems for more automated data entry. > > Overall, we have been thrilled with the software and have shaped our tech stack around this software solution as we don't have intentions to change any time soon. Support is helpful. Software updates are reliable with updated forms. It's easy enough to populate a return and determine where the information should go, whether from forms view or the input view. Ultra Tax CS also works very well with the other Thomson Reuters softwares, so if you have them integrated it saves a lot of time. (Especially with fixed assets and tangible returns\!)
